Disconnected

Monday, July 16th, 2007

Dear Maxis,

I feel so disconnected.
For 2 days, I can’t use my phone.
Saturday noon, I went to your center at Taman Segar to switch my postpaid plan to prepaid. I was using your RM75 package previously, but ever since I switch my job, I hardly used more than RM45 for the past 6 months.
As requested by your friendly staff at the counter, I paid RM35 to perform the switch, RM25 for service change, and RM10 for value loaded.
She told me it’d take 2 hours to activate my Hotlink. So I waited and waited and waited (am still waiting)…
It is 1am now, the screen still shows “Inactive Sim”.

Dear Maxis, can you tell me what went wrong?

I called up your customer service 2 times on Sunday.
The first one said it can take 2 or up to 24 hours, all I can do is wait, and I should try switch off my phone then turn it on. So I did like he said, and wait.. from afternoon till night..
But still no work, so I called again, this time another girl attended my call and said its probably due to your people not working in weekend, and I should visit your center again tomorrow.

Dear Maxis, I find this lousy excuse unacceptable. If you are not working in the weekend, shouldn’t you advice me not to do the switch on Saturday? It is not like I have nothing better to do than waiting to be attended at your center.
When I leave to work, you’re not opened yet; when I off work, you shut the gate hours back. So I have no choice but to do it on Saturday.
Now you deactivated my old sim card yet leave the new one inactive for TWO days. Is this what I get after paying RM25 service charge?
You know, it is rare that my phone is silent for 2 days, thanks to you Maxis, you have done one hell of a good job to keep me away from harmful phone radiation, Bravo!

Mushroom-ing

Wednesday, December 6th, 2006

So, I quit my previous job last Thursday.
Tired of the banking industry.
Tired of selling wealth management products.
Tired of marketing so many funds every month.
Tired of having the branch manager and that so-called zone sales manager chasing me few times a day, asking when will my insurance sales come in.
Tired of 9 months working still uncertain if the management gonna confirm me. Can you imagine this? NINE FUCKING MONTHS!!!
Yes I am tired of all these.
I don’t care anymore. Confirm me or not I’m saying sayonara to them.
If they think I’m more of a liability than asset, be it. They can kiss my arse for all I care.

So, last Thursday, the last day of the month, I tender my resignation letter to my branch manager early morning. Then I asked if they gonna confirm me and my other colleagues, she said no news yet. Can you believe it?! If this is how the management treat us, I don’t see any reason why I should stay with the bank. Loyalty certainly don’t apply here. My branch manager was happy that I got better offer.
Yes, I got better offer, the opportunity to join another MNC as a financial analyst. This is my second offer. The first offer was to do share margin but I turned it down. Hopefully I made the right choice! *cross finger*

Today is my third day at work. I have nothing to do, luckily got my lap top, at least I can blog now. First day was really torturing, no lap top, no nothing. My manager gave me some books bout the company and its management to read on. I was like -__-” Can see mushrooms growing all over me.
Second day, they gave me laptop in the afternoon, so I started going online disturbing all my friends on MSN messager hehe..
Today, my god, please give me something to do, mushrooms start pop-ing out again…zzz..zz.. I actually fell asleep on my lap top just now. But I know, soon, very soon, all the work will start piling on my desk, I’ll work my arse off to meet those deadlines, then I’ll wish to have nothing to do whole day! haha..

p/s: Mr. Cornflakes, don’t say I never update my blog! =p
