Busy Busy Busy…

January 22nd, 2006

I’ve been very busy lately.
Here’s an update on what I did, mind you, it’s long.

11/01/2006, Wednesday
Early morning sent out some online job applications, 9am morning received 2 calls from them. Whole afternoon was rushing my resume but printer died on me in the evening. Had to get my friend to help me print resume and transcript, thank you Jimmy!

12/01/2006, Thursday
Morning went to take polaroid photo then drop by Jimmy’s house to get print documents. Noon went Menara PJ for job interview. Putra LRT station was just nearby, but when you’re as heavy as me, walking down and up the slope with heels can kill, no joke!

13/01/2006, Friday
Today is black Friday.
and I have a job interview in Menara Multipurpose 9.30am.
Was lucky to get Eric who works nearby guide me there.
As I was filling in the application form, first interviewer called to inform me that I’ve passed the test and they want me to attend training.
After that, walked all the way back to Masjid Jamek and took LRT to Jusco. Lost my brand new butterfly hair pin, but found the colar shirt I’ve been wanting to get since last Christmas. Previously only S and XL are available, now they have my size M! hehe.. bought a skirt and a pair of working shoes, finally! It hurts to wear point shoes walking around!!

14/01/2006, Saturday and Sunday
Did sampling for Pepsi again in Giant supermarket, they need people urgently for CNY promotion. Technically, I wasn’t doing sampling but merely promoting and stock up inventories cause Permanis didn’t send in the sampling equipments.

16/01/2006, Monday
Went Menara PJ to get offer letter and sign 1-month training contract with first interviewer. Starting 6th of Feb I’ll be training with them till end of Feb. If I’m able to pass all tests, a foreign bank will take me as permanent staff starting 1st of March. The remuneration offered by this bank is pretty attractive, although I’ll be stuck in the branch for quite some time before I can move to higher level.. Let’s hope I can get in successfully *cross finger*.

17/01/2006, Tuesday
Went Sogo to have Myanmar food with a friend. The food is great but the price vs. the portion they served –> -__-”
Thank you Myathu for belanja me!
After that shop around for working clothes. Everywhere is having sales now and I need to buy a lot of formal clothings. Drop by Padini and managed to grab some REALLY GOOD bargains –> 2 colar shirt cost RM23.90 each and 1 cost RM39. Tell me where can you get colar shirt this cheap?! even Jusco is selling at least RM49 each, LOL!!
After that, took LRT back with Myathu, belanja him “Bah Kut Teh” at my place, then fetch him together with a friend back to PJ. Decided to yam cha at SS2 and called Samantha out last minute. She had only 5 minutes to prepare before I reached her house, haha.. Then we went “The Island” yam cha.

18/01/2006, Wednesday
Initial plan was to watch the Memoirs of Geisha in Times Square, then found out the movie will start to show only on thursday. So I was slacking at home whole day then went pasar malam with a friend at night. Bought 2 cds and some rubber bands.
J just told me that he called me that night for yam cha and I never picked up the phone. Sorry lah J, didn’t hear your call and didn’t know it was you, or else I would run there immediately!

19/01/2006, Thursday
Went to shop in One U with mum and brother. Bought a T-shirt.
New parking rate sucks, RM1 for first 6 hours, RM2 for every hour after that. Do you think 6 hours is enough for a family to shop there? I don’t think so! Forgot to check my watch, ended up paying RM3.

20/01/2006, Friday
Job Interview in Wisma Genting, we talked for 2 hours.
The job is very challenging and the remunaration is great! Too bad they provide no basic salary, which means no transaction = no commission = no income for the month. Don’t think I should get a job like this in the beginning, so foreign bank is still on top of my list for the moment.

21/01/2006, Saturday
Gathering with primary school friends in Mong Kok Restaurant.
It’s amazing that we still keep the tradition of celebrating our standard 6 class teacher’s birthday every year without fail (except last 2 years).
Thank you See Kah and Wai Yin for organizing this wonderful gathering again. Many of us stay in Cheras yet we don’t meet up often, so it’s really important to keep this tradition going on. Miss Hong was touched, I am so proud to be in this class!!!
Most of us already started working, except a few like me who just graduated or still studying in local and oversea university. Time flies, it doesn’t seem that long ago when I took UPSR… and now I’m graduated with a degree.
Everything is happening too fast. We get older and older each day without realizing it. In year 2009, Miss Hong will retire and we promise to have a celebration party for her.
We love to write and say “Friendship Forever”, but how many of us actually put in effort to keep this promise? The people attending this gathering are getting lesser and lesser each year. After all these years, we lost contact with some of them, and others just didn’t bother to show up. I do hope and wish for Friendship Forever. By the time we turn 30, 40, 50, 60, we can still sit down and have a cup of tea, talk bout the good old times, talk about achievements, family, kids, politics, economy…etc. Is this just a dream? Am I hoping for miracle? I do believe in Friendship Forever, please let me continue my belief =)

22/01/2006, Today (Sunday)
Well, I’m doing sampling for Permanis again in Giant later at 2pm.
Why am I doing this when I’m about to start training soon?
Do I like working so much? of course NOT!
I’m doing this because I couldn’t resist the Permanis guy that called me once when I was driving out of One U carpark, Bizzare Marketing guy that called me when I was at the junction near my house and the pretty supervisor that beg me to help her when I was buying fruit with mum in Tayton’s pasar malam after One U. They made me feel guilty for not helping them -__-”
So, there you go, try to spot the girl with specs that do sampling for H2OH! in Giant. Do drop by and say “Hey, I read your blog!”
I might let you take the whole bottle! See ya!
