Lucky!

Saturday, October 15th, 2005

Today must be my lucky day!

Evening, Eric came to have dinner with me. We went to eat “Ba Kut Teh” nearby my house. It was only 7pm when we reached there, and finished makan before 8pm. Had a running nose cause sensitive to the weather, was dizzy and headache whole day, so didn’t have mood to do assignment. Most importantly, it’s too early to go home on Friday night, so we planned to watch Jackie Chan’s “The Myth” in Leisure Mall.

Before movie, I gotta take a bath. For the first time, I intro Eric to my mum, hehe… Everything turned out to be okay cause mum has always been friendly to all my friends ^_^ After shower, saw them chatting happily in the living room. My mum is really cool, she can mix around with any people any ages, eventhough I suddenly bring a boy home..haha! Mummy, you rock my socks off!! I salute you!!

Reached Leisure Mall around 9.30pm, was lucky to get parking near the staircase cause it’s really full. The Myth was actually better than I expected, unlike most movie previews criticised on. Sometimes, I think these people just never bother to watch the whole movie attentively to fully understand its story. Sometimes, people just criticise for the sake of criticising… Yea there’re a lot of flaws in the movie, but overall was actually not bad, worth watching in the cinema. Kim Hee Seon is sooo pretty, the Korean princess role was meant for her, bet every guy would want a princess like her. Eric was like wowwww, her eyes are sooooo pretty!! haha… Mallika Sherawat, to me, was just okay.. Perhaps, she’s not my type, there are many Bollywood stars prettier, hotter than her. Honestly, the movie with or without her doesn’t make any difference. They probably attempt to attract more indian audiences by adding her in the role.

Movie finished around 11.30pm, I said we should go yam cha. So we went to Ahmad Maideen mamak near my house. Saw some highschool seniors sitting next to my table. After a while, notice CK was there too. I was a lil bit shocked, didn’t expect to see him there. CK court me before when I was Form 4. He’s a nice and hardworking guy, science class, was the head of student council back then. Whenever he passed by my class, all my classmates would make funny noises, called his name and laughed at me, those were the days *blushes*… After so many years, suddenly bump into him, of course nervous a bit. He’s quite cute now compare to last time. What about me? I gained weight, fat and tan and lots of pimple due to my late sleeping habit. But Eric said I looked pretty (at least to him) so I guess it’s not so bad >_< When they left, I turned to the back and said hello to him, thank god he didn’t ignore me.. I hope to keep in touch with him but last time a friend told me not to cause he has girl friend already. I do hope that we can still be friends…..

Eric told me a lot of stories tonight, bout his family, his highschool life, his buddies..etc. I knew him since Form 1, we went to the same tuition center. Lost contact for so many years, but fate has put us back together again. It’s happy to keep in touch with old friends, especially the good ones =)

When we’re about to leave, a guy suddenly stop by my table and pat Eric’s shoulder. He’s Eric’s best friend, KS’s brother. Due to some reason, they never contact for few years. KS, his brother and a ex-schoolmate of mine, SW just arrived Maideen when we paid the bill. It was a HUGE SURPRISE to see them there. I never saw KS for at least 8 years, used to know SW quite well but we drifted apart after Form 2. Eric was really excited, they were good buddies, been through a lot of things together. When he told me about KS before this, he was sad because they were not closed anymore. If we went home after dinner as planned initially, we wouldn’t have gone to Maideen after movie, we wouldn’t bump into them, Eric and KS wouldn’t have chance to sit down and catch up with each other. KS actually stays near my house and SW still live in opposite side of Connaught. All these years, we stay so near yet so far from each other. I’m really glad that we are friends again. Sometimes, you just need some external factors to break the ice. Because of me, Eric and KS keep in touch again, four of them were super close last time; because of Eric, I have reason to invite SW yam cha again. Isn’t it great? This must be my lucky day today! ^_^

Eric sent me home after that.
In the car, he asked again. Should I say Yes or No? I’m in dilemma, again……

Dawn of The Dead

Thursday, October 13th, 2005

An old movie, came out some time last year, was never shown in Malaysia.

But, if you love to watch walking zombies, this is a must watch show!!

“When there’s no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth..”

Sounds cool? It surely does.
I’ve watched this on VCD 2 times last year when I didn’t have a DVD player. Few weeks ago, grab some DVDs in Low Yatt including this, and I just watched it for the 3rd time with my brother.

I’m telling you, you don’t want to miss this.
The walking zombies are pretty scarry, they run like olympic athletes! I mean come on, how often do you see zombies run like that? Gun shots in the head are so real, you get to see fleshes and brains burst out, flying around… I assure you, the scenes are violent enough to satisfy your thirst for blood!

Alright, let’s brief you on what the movie is about…

As the United States is turned upside-down by a strange plague-like event in which milions of corpses walk the earth as blood-thirsty zombies (with the recently-deceased that the zombies kill usually returning as zombies themeselves, multiplying their number), a small group of survivors of the onslaught, which include a nurse and a police officer, try to find shelter and protection within a massive shopping mall in the mid-sized city of Everett, WA. What they don’t reckon on is that the zombies still have some sort of special memory, and *everyone* loves goin to the mall, right? Realizing that their time is running out…

Oh well, the rest you gotta watch it to find out yourself! =p
(Got this synopsis from the DVD cover of course.. hehe..)

To get the best quality of the movie, please purchase DVD, do not go for VCD. I repeat, do not buy VCD, or else, you’ll miss out some scenes and what happen at the end of the show.. you know.. as they show the ending theme song and the wordings.. you gotta watch the whole thing alright?

If you’re a movie freak, you’d notice the recent similar movie - “Land of the Dead” they played in cinema. They promote this movie as “now they are able to think..bla bla bla”. Frankly, Dawn of the Dead is 10 times better than this. Of course, Resident Evil series still my all time favourite hehe… Big budget production that based on PS game, can’t really compare the two you see? But trust me, you won’t regret wathcing the show =)
