世界末日

Saturday, December 18th, 2004

New Hair Cut

Friday, December 17th, 2004

I went to salon and got my hair cut today!
NO MORE LONG HAIR!
/me say bye bye to her precious long hair.. *sobz*
Now my hair is much shorter with fringe.
Sounds wasted isn’t it? I’ve kept my hair long for 1 whole year, and now, I decided to cut it short. Samantha is the first person who asked “WHYYY?!!” when I sms her bout it. Trust me, it’s a TOUGH DECISION! >_< However, I really like this new hairstyle. It used to be long, dry and out of style. Now, I look more neat and stylish. Most importantly, I look younger, or should I say, prettier? LOL! Anyway, it’s not really that short, I just had it cut layered and give it a bit of style. I may highlight it before Chinese New Year…that is if my dad doesn’t make a big fuss bout it =D
Too bad I don’t have a viewcam nor digicam, or else I can show you the “before hair cut” and “after hair cut” photo, then you’ll see the difference. Woohoo~~I’m really happy today!! =)

Miz Jolene

Thursday, December 9th, 2004

Finally, I got to meet the famous Jolene from Unlinked.net yesterday. We were supposed to meet up few months back, but due to some reasons, she canceled it last minute. This time, I managed to drag Samantha along =)

The original plan was to meet at McDonalds at 4pm. However, we were late because Sam’s mother needed to use the car by 5pm and I had to pay some bills at the post office. So we drove two cars to her church to pick her up after she handover the car, then rushed back to the post office (opposite McD). Sam was supposed to meet Jolene first while I settled my bills. I saw her walked in McD, suddenly she’s back in the post office.

“Why are you here??”

“I don’t know which one is Jolene!”

“You saw her photo before what..”

“I’m not sure which one! Should be the one wearing pink. She’s pointing at her notes and talking to herself!!”

“Har? Okkkk..”

The Malay staff working at the counter took forever to settle my bills. It’s just 5 bills with 2 cheques, what took him so long?! He kept starring at the cheques then discussed with his superior (I think), as if I forged them. Maybe he couldn’t believe that a student would pay her bills with company cheques. Talks bout efficiency.. hmmph!

Finally, it’s done. We walked across to McD, pushed the glass door and headed straight to the “pink color” girl.

“Hi, Jolene =)”

“Heyyyyyy”

Yeap, Sam was right.

We sat down, Jolene pushed her notes towards us saying she doesn’t get this concept. We haven’t (probably just me) realized what’s going on, but Jolene started talking and she wouldn’t let us respond nor stand up! Lol~!!

“Wait.. is this Economics or Accounting? If it’s accounting you should ask Sam”

“If it’s Economics you should ask Joyce!”

It’s Economics.

Well, I haven’t developed this ability to read alphabets up side down and I didn’t get what she was saying. So I went to her side. She was like “NO! Sit down!” “Shut up! Let me talk!” haha… Jolene is really cute~!! Anyway, we finally get to read her notes, and I must apologized, I didn’t understand the concept too. Although I’m in third year now, I never study anything like that in Microeconomics. So she actually explained it and we were like “ohh..I see…”

Sam went and bought her favorite vanilla coke. I didn’t get anything due to the cough I’m having. Then we continued to talk and talk and talk and talk… and talk for two hours! Jolene is a really nice girl. She is sooooo cute and funny! And miz Jolene, I don’t mean cute by calling you “ugly but adorable”.

I’ve searched in my Oxford Dictionary, it says:
(1) sharp-witted; quick-thinking.
(2) attractive, pretty and charming.

According to Dictionary.com, the word “cute” means:
(1) Delightfully pretty or dainty.
(2) Obviously contrived to charm; precious.
(3) Shrewd; clever.

So it was a compliment, alright? Don’t argue with me! =D

I had a great time meeting Jolene. It’s amazing how she could multitask by munching fries, talking and reading her notes at the same time (Yes, Jolene, female can multitask better than guys, you’ve proved it!). Too bad she had to leave as it was getting late.

P/S: the next time you pass by Strudel’s, remember to try their “Turkey Ham Melted Cheese” sandwich. According to Jolene, it’s really delicious =)
