Apple

Friday, December 26th, 2003

The following incident took place when Muhammad Ali’s daughters arrived at his home wearing clothes that were not modest. Here is the story as told by one of his daughters:

When we finally arrived, the chauffer escorted my younger sister, Laila, and me up to my father’s suite. As usual, he was hiding behind the door waiting to scare us. We exchanged many hugs and kisses as we could possibly give in one day. My father took a good look at us. Then he sat me down on his lap and said something that I will never forget.

He looked me straight in the eyes and said, “Hana, everything that God made valuable in the world is covered and hard to get to. Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground, covered and protected.

Where do you find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean, covered up and protected in a beautiful shell.

Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine, covered over with layers and layers of rock. You’ve got to work hard to get to them.”

He looked at me with serious eyes. “Your body is sacred. You’re far more precious than diamonds and pearls, and you should be covered too.”

Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. The men don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the grounds that aren’t as good, but easy. So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, THEY’RE amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who’s brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

Shopping~~!!!!!!

Friday, December 19th, 2003

Wahaahhahahahhaha~~~
I am soooooooooo haaappppyyyy today~~!!!!!

Went to Times Square with Sherman. Supposedly to help him shop for clothes… but… in the end… *ahem* I managed to get 2 handbags (buy 1 free 1) and a blouse (gotta wear with a tube inside) in Times Square, and a pair of Levis jeans in Sungai Wang~!! ^_^

I’ve been searching for handbags everywhere since….err…emm….since…. too long liaor.. can’t remember…haha!! AT LAST I manage to get one today!!! wOOhOO~~~~ (call me siao, chee sin, crazy or wateva… it doesn’t matter. I’m way too happy~!!)

As most of you know, I am a plump girl. Wanted to get a pair of Levis long time ago…but… do u know how hard it is to do so? I’ve tried several designs at different Levis stores. They either don’t have my size, or the jeans fit my waist, too tight/too loose on my bottom or the other way round. Other times, they fit both but my thighs looked freaking fat in them. Once, I explained to one of the promoter in Times Square that those jeans “enlarge” my thighs, asked whether she could find me a suitable one. Guess what she said, “Our jeans are meant to be this way. We don’t sell THOSE TYPE of jeans here!” My goodness, how could she say something like that? Levis are the jeans experts, if they don’t have it, who would? What did she mean by “those type”??? If I could get a pair of cheap jeans that fit me well, why would I need Levis? Stupid bitch!!!
That day onwards, I told myself, forget about Levis, I can get something better than that!!

However… today is THE DAY =)
I accompany Sherman to Sungai Wang. Manage to find him something nice, too bad they don’t have his size. Sherman, consider yourself unlucky lar~~~ hahahahaha *evil grinz*. Then we went to 1st floor to look for jeans, saw Levis, “this would be the last time”, I told myself. The promoters were really friendly and helpful, altogether 4 of them tried their best to help me. So there you go, I have a pair of Levis in my room now.

After that, we passed by Giordano. I hardly shop for this brand. The reason is simple. I bought a pair of jeans RM100++ 3 years ago, 2 weeks after, they had 40% discount on all jeans. Now you know why….. Since then, I never bought any Gio unless they are having sales. Painful experience… >_< I found some nice scarves there, the type I’ve been looking for. The price is quite fair, RM29 per piece. Other places are selling higher price. Too bad light yellow were sold out, only black and pink left. Sherman said he could get cheaper for me at IOI Mall. So everything set, I’m getting my scarves over there, both black and the yellow ones. Thank You Sherman!!!

4.05am, I’m exhausted, but really really happy~!!! I must say, without you Sherman, I wouldn’t have gotten all these chun stuffs.
Thanks for inviting me =) yeah~!!

I’m happy…really happy…I am so happy…really really happy… lalala..lala…..
